NEW CHILDREN'S MUSIC ALBUM FEATURING SEMISONIC & DAN WILSON

Down by the RiversideAn album of classic children's music, including tracks by Semisonic, Dan Wilson and many of Minneapolis' most talented recording artists, has been released. It's called "Down by the Riverside," and it was created to benefit Reuben Lindh Family Services in Minneapolis.

As many of you can attest, the release of the album was celebrated with a dreamy concert featuring Dan Wilson and John Munson, Mason Jennings, Amy Jennings, Brian Tighe, Chan Poling, Matt Wilson, Dana Thompson, and many others, who performed in May at the Children's Theater in Minneapolis.

John Bream wrote this in the Minneapolis Star Tribune:

"Various Artists, 'Down by the Riverside.' This wonderful collection of folk songs and kid-friendly tunes by some of Minnesota's finest singers (Dan Wilson, Robert Robinson, Martin Zellar et al.) is a fundraiser for Reuben Lindh Family Services. All kids' CDs should be this diverse, listenable and inspiring."

Also appearing: Mason Jennings, Robert Skoro, the Jayhawks, Tulip Sweet and Her Trail of Tears, and Kristin Mooney, among others. Reuben Lindh helps Minneapolis families stay together through many different kinds of crisis and trouble, and have been very active in using music therapy to help developmentally delayed children learn.
